Pascal Gross looks set for a "dream" call-up for Germany’s final squad going into Euro 2024.

Deniz Undav, the Seagulls striker who has enjoyed a fine season on loan to Stuttgart, also makes the preliminary 27.

That will be cut to a maximum of 26 for the tournament itself.

Julian Nagelsmann has named four goalkeepers, which could be the department from which he cuts one player for the final list.

Gross has become a regular in the Germany squad but has never taken his Euros place for granted.

Speaking recently, he said: “I know where I have come from.

“I am very humble but it would be a dream for me and for my whole family.”

Bart Verbruggen makes the preliminary Holland squad but Jan Paul van Hecke is not involved.

Ronald Koeman has named a 30-man group for now and Verbruggen is one of four goalkeepers so, again, there would appear licence to drop one player in that area before naming the final 26.

Justin Bijlow (Feyenoord), Mark Flekken (Brentford) and Nick Olij (Sparta Rotterdam) are the other keepers named.
