Residents in part of Sussex have been told to prepare for possible flooding as heavy rain is on the way tonight.
Brighton, Eastbourne and Chichester are all set to be hit by heavy rain overnight.
The Met Office said there is a high chance of downpours for much of the county tonight. At its peak, there could be as much as 8mm of rain per hour falling in Brighton.
There are two flood alerts in place for Sussex, in East Dean and Stoughton, both near Chichester.
In East Dean, groundwater flood impacts are expected to continue as the band of rain arrives from the south west of England, which has been issued a yellow weather warning for rain overnight.
A spokesman for the Environment Agency said: "Between 10 and 30mm of rain could be possible.
"Groundwater could rise a centimetre or two on Monday, but should then fall again by Wednesday.
Isolated showers are forecast Thursday and Friday, possibly continuing through next week.
"Despite the rain and showers, the overall trend is that groundwater is expected to continue to fall, although not fast. minor flood impacts affecting the sewage network could continue through to June."
