Brighton Digital Festival fireworks moving from the Level
9:00am Wednesday 25th September 2013 in News
A futuristic firework display – part of the Brighton Digital Festival – will no longer take place at The Level.
Pixel Pyros, billed as an explosive interactive extravaganza, was due to close the month-long festival on Saturday, but due to a hold-up in the reopening of the park, the event has been moved to November 2 at a venue yet to be confirmed.
The official opening of The Level has been delayed by up to a year due to work on the Velo café, public toilets and Rose Walk entrance.
Seb Lee-Delisle, the creator of the Pixel Pyros show, said that, although the postponement of The Level opening was announced more than a week ago, he wanted to announce the rescheduling of the firework event simultaneously with the new date.

He said: “It’s a shame that the event has been postponed because of delays with the completion of The Level refurbishment and we’re really sorry to disappoint people. While we explored all of the venue options available with the council, unfortunately none of them were suitable within the time frame we were working to.
“We hope to confirm the new location for the event shortly and are excited that Brighton remains a key date in the national Pixel Pyros tour.”
