Super strength heroin is in circulation in Sussex.
Police have warned heroin in circulation in Horsham and possibly further has higher than normal levels of purity.
Chief Inspector Howard Hodges said: "While we obviously we do not condone the criminal use of this drug, this clearly presents an increased risk to those who purchase and use this drug. Sussex Police take this issue very seriously and we want to see both these drugs removed from circulation and those unfortunately addicted within our communities protected.
"The purpose of this message is to both raise awareness amongst current heroin users and to ensure that partner agencies involved in the treatment and engagement with those who are addicted can brief their staff and clients and raise awareness.
"If anyone has information in relation to this particular batch of drugs or any wider drugs related information they should call Sussex Police on 101, email us at 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or anonymously contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Your information will be treated seriously and in confidence."
