A teenager was raped in a doorway while on a night out with friends.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the 18-year-old was attacked in Brighton on Tuesday night.
She was in a doorway near the seafront sometime between 3.30am and 4.30am when two black men approached her. One of the men then raped her.
The victim is uncertain exactly where the assault happened but detectives believe it was in the area around Middle Street, Kings Road and the southern end of West Street.
Detective Inspector Julie Wakeford said: "The victim is understandly traumatised by what has happened to her.
"We desperately need to speak to anyone who might know anything about what happened.
“They may have seen her in the doorway talking to a white man she had left the Coalition nightclub with before she was attacked or they may have seen the two black men leaving after the assault.
"Whatever you saw, no matter what it was, please contact us urgently."
