A teenager has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a girl was killed in a crash.

The 17-year-old, of Tangmere, near Chichester, was charged following the crash on the A285 at Halnaker last September.

The teenager is also charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He will appear at Worthing Magistrates' Court on 20 February.

A Vauxhall Corsa car travelling south came off the road and overturned on September 21. Passenger Jasmine Elkasmi, 16, of Carlton Avenue, Bognor, died of her injuries and two other 16-year-old girl passengers who were in the car were seriously injured.
