Have your say: would you eat in a place that has a zero hygiene rating?

The Argus: Have your say: would you eat in a place that has a zero hygiene rating? Have your say: would you eat in a place that has a zero hygiene rating?

A report has revealed the dirtiest places to eat in Brighton and Hove.

Five places in the city received zero in the Food Standards Scores on the Doors scheme.

We want to know if you take notice of these ratings.

Would you still eat in a place with a zero rating?

Should it become mandatory for the scores to be displayed?

Or are they too picky and give good restaurants a bad name?

Have your say below.

If a kitchen is not clean, you can get seriously ill from the food being prepared there. Your health is so important, personally I would not eat anywhere where the rating is not displayed and I would not eat anywhere where the rating is less than four out of five.

I noticed most of the proper restaurants along Church rd, hove ( not including the odd kebab takeaway ) do display their rating and most are either four or five rated.

Not the same in central Brighton for some of the independent restaurants, so I will be sticking mainly to Church Road in Hove !

You can check every place online with the FSA app (available for free). I only use 5 star rated places for my takeaways, and check the rating of every restaurant before I eat there and how recently they were evaluated.
They should be displayed on the door of every establishment, and I would never eat anywhere with less than 3 stars.

No I wouldn't is the simple answer to that.
Nor would I walk out in front of buses,
or cut my toe nails with a lawn mower,
or drink household cleaning products,
or lick my fingers and stick them in a plug socket,
or drive my car blindfolded,
etc etc…
Generally my aim is to stay healthy and alive...
