A car accident on the A23 at Pyecombe, northbound at the A273, caused two mile-long tailbacks this morning (Friday).
One lane was closed on the carriageway while emergency services worked to clear the area following the accident at around 6.30am.
Traffic was reportedly cleared by 7.50am.
