A bungalow is on fire in Burgess Hill.

Four fire engines and six breathing apparatus units from West Sussex Fire and Rescue are on the scene in Meeds Road behind the Oakmeeds Community College.

Two members of the public are being treated for smoke inhalation.

Police and ambulance units are also on the scene and the road is cordoned off.

The fire service believes the fire was started accidently. Residents have tweeted that the road is covered in smoke.

Crews are still on the scene and the incident is ongoing.
