Delays on rail line after a deer gets on to the track

THERE are delays of up to 30 minutes on rail services this morning after a deer invaded the line earlier today.

Delays were in place between Horsham and Bognor Regis and Chichester after the animal got on to the line near Christs Hospital.

The incident caused a number of services to London to be cancelled while other services operated with extra carriages to deal with the backlog of passengers.

There are no indications yet when the obstruction will be cleared and Southern Rail have said the delays will remain in place until further notice.
