A 14-year-old boy was grabbed around the neck as he sat at a railway station.

The youngster was targeted at Eastbourne Railway Station on January 3.

Now British Transport Police officers have released new images of two men that they would like to speak to in relation to the incident which took place at around 5.30pm.

PC Matthew Smith, who is leading the investigation, said: “The victim was sat on the platform waiting for a train with friends when a man verbally abused him before grabbing him around the neck.

“This was an unprovoked attack on a local 14 year-old boy which left him very shaken.

“We’re committed to making the railway network safer for the travelling public and take all reports of assaults very seriously.”
