Six abandoned ferrets need new homes.
The animals were picked up by an RSPCA inspector after being dumped on farmland and taken to the charity’s shelter at Patcham, Brighton.
Centre worker Cheryl Wood said: “They are male and have now been neutered. We have also been handling them regularly so they are used to people.
“They are very sweet and will make great pets.
“We are looking for people who are experienced with handling ferrets and have the appropriate accommodation for them.”
The centre is also looking after five rabbits who were recently abandoned at the shelter and will be ready for rehoming soon.
Anyone interested can visit the centre in Braypool Lane on Tuesdays to Sundays from 10.30am to 4pm, or call 01273 554218.
