Police called after six-year-old girl dies

A six-year-old girl has died.

Emergency services were called to a home in Turners Green, Heathfield, at 4.30am on Sunday after a report that a six-year-old girl had stopped breathing.

A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: “The girl was taken to the Conquest Hospital, Hastings, but sadly died there.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner's officer is dealing.”

South East Coast Ambulance confirmed they attended, while the Sussex Air Ambulance said they believed the youngster suffered a cardiac arrest.

Why the sensational headline?
The article then goes on to say this tragedy is not being treated as suspicious.
Argus reporters at their best once again.
