People with massive balls will be sprinting up and down a beach for charity.

The annual Big Balls event once again comes to Brighton Beach with the aim of raising money for testicular, penile and prostate cancer research through Cancer Research UK.

Participants will be given a numbered shirt and with matching numbered big red balls under each arm will run the 3k pebbled course.

However, it won’t be easy for the runners as they will face a gauntlet of flowerbombs, water bombs and a crack team of ninjas on the way.

Those taking part must finish the race still carrying two balls.

Dave Samuel, organiser, said: “This is a great way of getting blokes to start conversation about their bloke bits – having a laugh over a very serious issue and helping preserve their downstairs tackle.” The race will start at the Big Beach Cafe at Hove Lagoon which will also be providing a Big Balls breakfast and lunch.

The event starts at 9am today.
