A cyclist was left with cuts and bruises following a hit and run accident.

The 20-year-old was riding his mountain bike in Southgate Avenue, Crawley, when he was involved in a collision witha blue Ford Fiesta.

The car failed to stop following the accident, which happened near the junction with Southgate Drive at about 7.15pm yesterday.

The cyclist was treated at East Surrey Hospital, Redhill and later discharged.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sussex Police on 101 or email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk, quoting serial 1343 of 22/5.
