A five-year-old boy broke his leg after being hit by a car yesterday (Tuesday).

Police are seeking witnesses to the incident on the A2023 Hove Street, Hove, at 1.26pm.

The boy was on foot when he was hit outside The Connaught pub.

He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment.

Anyone who saw the collision is asked to phone Sussex Police on 101 or email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk, quoting serial 653 of 27/5.

but like so so many argus reports its not got the other parts... did the driver stop ? have they said the 5 year old was on the pavement ? was he intoxicated from drinking at the pub... . :) i mean the driver of the vehicle
ohh well nice start to Wednesday... As always i am posting comments in many argus articles . shocked by the Claudia schiffer fire story .. no body able to comment on that.. ohh your views on that Argus would it bring out the greeneye moaners brigade

I would also be interested to know a few more facts about this incident. Was the boy crossing the road? Was he alone? Or were his parents with him? More facts please Argus! (in case you are not familiar with the procedure, the usual practise is to ask questions. It's called journalism. Try it)
