A post box has been snatched from its plinth.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the theft of a post box from Penhurst Lane, Battle, between 4.30pm on Wednesday (4 June) and 4.30pm on Thursday (5 June).

The old style Elizabeth postbox sat on a black plinth. It is unknown at this stage whether there was any mail in the postbox.

Any witness or anyone with information is asked to call 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 175 of 5/6. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
