A “CHOCOLATE artist” has crafted a giant version of The Argus logo for one lucky reader to win.

Evelyn Day, 46, of Hangleton Way, Hove, who owns bespoke cake company Chocadyllic, created the 60cm by 22cm logo purely from Belgian chocolate.

It is not the first time she has turned her hand to recreating a familiar sight in the city of Brighton and Hove – her cake modelled on the Bandstand is big enough to serve 50.

She said: “A lot of my work is inspired by Brighton. The Argus is a great local paper, so it seemed natural to do the logo.

“I’ve done the Bandstand, beach huts, Madeira Drive and the Palace Pier. I’ve had an enquiry about doing the Pavilion for a wedding cake. I’d do the whole of Brighton if I had the budget.”

Chocadyllic offers a range of products including paintings, postcards, jigsaw puzzles and customisable greetings cards – all made from chocolate.

Mrs Day said: “The most bonkers commission I have had was for a wedding in Germany – a rescue animal farm with eight horses, five dogs, two pigs and two cats.”

She added: “Chocadyllic cakes taste as good as they look.

“The Bandstand cake can be scaled up or down – I could make it feed hundreds if necessary.”

The website chocadyllic.co.uk will be up and running from Monday.

To win the chocolate bar, see The Argus’s offers and competitions page on Monday.

So it's a bit of promotion for a local business, whats the problem? Also, I've had some of her cake and it is amazing!
