PHYSIOTHERAPISTS, nurses and doctors walked, jogged and ran on a treadmill continuously for ten hours in a Mega Marathon.
The event at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital on Thursday raised money to buy new exercise equipment for the physiotherapy department.
The participants aimed to run 50 miles – the distance from London to Brighton – but flew past their target and completed 102 miles on the machinery.
They were joined for the challenge by young cystic fibrosis patients, including ten-year-old Andrea Dinnage, pictured, as well as staff from the Rockinghorse charity, the official fundraising arm of the children’s hospital.
