A man has been arrested for interfering with parked cars. 

Officers were called to Church Road, Hastings, shortly after 2am on May 30 after a man was seen trying to open car doors.

A 30-year-old man from Hastings was arrested on suspicion of interfering with vehicles. He was questioned before being released on bail until July 7 while officers carry out further inquiries.

Investigator George Szczotok said: "We need to speak to anyone who was in the area and saw a man behaving suspiciously around vehicles.

"Also, if someone broke into your car or something was stolen from your vehicle while it was left insecure in Church Road, please contact us."
