PATCHAM High School’s students and staff were beaming when they collected the School of the Year award.

We were inundated with nominations for the school which commended the school’s teachers, senior leadership team and governors for the way all children are taught.

Headteacher Paula Sargent said: “Patcham High – School of the Year sounds very good.

“It’s been a long journey to get to this point and we’ve got some amazing staff, students, governors, parents – they’ve all played their part to make our school a better place.

“We’re absolutely delighted.”

Chairman of governors Tracy Edwards said: “We’ve get a very clear vision of what we want for Patcham and we’ll drive it through.”
