11:36am Monday 16th June 2014 in News
A burglary is being linked to two other break ins - in one of which a parrot was stolen.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a home in St Hildas Close, Crawley, was broken into.
The front window of the house was smashed at some time before 7pm on 28 May while the owners were out.
Officers are investigating the possibility the break-in could be linked to a burglary in Applefield, Crawley, on May 23.
Gold jewellery, cash and an African grey parrot were stolen from the Applefield home.
They are also investigating a link between a burglary in The Birches, Crawley, on May 6 in which jewllery was taken.
Officers have also produced an efit of a man they believe could be involved.
On each occasion a black Audi A3 was seen near the victims' homes at the time of the break-in and officers are trying to trace that vehicle.
Detective Constable Jon Woolley said: "It may be a coincidence that a black Audi has been nearby on each occasion but it may not be.
"We would like to speak to anyone who may have seen a black Audi in the area, or anywhere in Crawley, with people acting suspiciously. If you have seen the car please contact us with any information you might have, no matter how insignificant you might consider it to be."
