One word that’s key for parenting...

The Argus: One word that’s key for parenting... One word that’s key for parenting...

Unbelievable. A man has invented an app that disables children’s electronic gadgets at mealtimes.

Richard Sah was irritated that his children were constantly distracted by smartphones and iPads and wanted to “create something that could help my children focus on other activities”, he said.

It’s bananas. Completely bananas.

Has he never heard of the word ‘no’?

A revolutionary thought, I know, but if your children are doing something you don’t like, you should just say no.

And if they complain, you continue to say no until you have won.

It’s called parenting.

great idea

We have a firm no gadget at mealtime rule in our house, as well as at bedtime. This would be much easier than constantly repeating myself and engaging in a verbal battle each time as to 'why are we not allowed, when so and so at school can?'

and weird article, seems the argus is now printing opinion rather than factual news items?
