A NEW charity shop will raise pounds for hounds in support of a dog welfare charity. The Dogs Trust shop in Southwick Square, Southwick, welcomed its first customers at 10.30am on Thursday.
Manager Stuart Parker Green said: “The shop was really well-received.
"The site has been empty for three or four years. Everyone was saying it’s great that it’s being used for something positive. It was a busy first day. It’s quite a buzzing little shop at the moment.”
All profits will go to the Dogs Trust rehoming centre in Brighton Road, Shoreham. Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and cares for nearly 17,000 stray, unwanted and abandoned dogs every year. For details visit dogstrust.org.uk.
