A DAZZLING end of year show is being held to showcase students’ work.
City College Brighton and Hove held their annual Visual Arts End of Year Show which saw students offer up their artful labours.
A host of different exhibits were on offer including photography, fine art, games development, fashion, textiles, graphics, illustration and 3D design will be presented.
One of the exhibits by American student Maria Berghorst was inspired by a cherished family heirloom – a timeworn book featuring handwritten recipes alongside magazine and newspaper clippings started by her great-grandmother.
She said: “I wanted to use this book for a project because it holds such a fantastic array of memories and family nostalgia.”
The exhibit features a number of pieces that portray various elements of the book, including a collection of tea towels and a series of wall hangings extracted from her great grandmother's handwriting.
City College’s End of Year Show is in the Trafalgar & York buildings on Pelham Street Brighton will be open to the public on June 23 and June 24 with free admission.
