School recognised for innovation

A SCHOOL has been recognised for its innovation after a report on the use of technology in education was published.

Hove Park School in Hove was labelled an “area of promise” in a report examining the future of technology within education.

Headteacher Derek Trimmer said: “We are seeing tangible evidence at Hove Park that the intensive work of our teachers and students over the past 18 months is dramatically enhancing the range, depth and quality of the work our students produce in school.

“We are committed to exploring new approaches to teaching and learning in partnership with a growing network of national and international schools who are innovating in the use of technology in order to secure high quality outcomes.”

Ironic as the school is being criticised by readers in the earlier story for buying Ipads then to be - sadly- stolen. Well done Hove Park for being innovative.

Looks like a press release from the school to deflect the theft to me. No mention of who wrote the report, the context it comments were written in or a link to the report.

Show me the report then - I'll happily concede I'm wrong if the evidence is provided.

Fair enough, as I said, I'll admit I was wrong on this one - having just read the report I'll agree Hove Park are highlighted. I disagree with their chosen system still.

Strange the Argus are a week late and couldn't be bothered to provide the link though.
