Positive vibrations come to Brighton on Friday night in the form of Sheikh Burhanuddin Herrmann.

The colourful and mystic Sufi sheikh, or spiritual guide, will be leading an interactive musical gathering at Brighton Unitarian Church entitled 'Tonight the subject is Love' before a London date the following day.

With a strong world-wide following, the German-born spiritual leader has been travelling the globe for thirty years as a wandering dervish and disciple of his late master, Mawlana Sheikh Nazim Adil Al-Haqqani, Grand Master of the ancient Naqshbandi Sufi Order.

Sheikh Burhanuddin believes that the experience of living joyfully is each human being's birthright and that it can be attained only through recognising one's true nature.

Speaking to The Argus before his Brighton event, he said: "People chase passing happiness outside of themselves and it ends in suffering. If only they could recognise that the vibration of love and joy is within each one of us, it is our authentic being.

"This way of the heart is the only one that can lead us beyond the illusion of fear and suffering to the truth of our being - to joy, to peace, to harmony and ultimately to freedom."

Tonight The Subject Is Love is held this Friday, June 27, from 7.30 -10.30pm at the Brighton Unitarian Church, New Road, Brighton BN1 1UF.

All monetary contributions welcome.
