Witnesses are being sought after a man was found with serious head injuries in a car park.
In particular police want to speak to the occupants of two cars after a 70-year-old East Grinstead man was found on July 2.
The man had been to the Wing Wah Chinese to buy a takeaway in London Road and was walking across the car park near the fire station.
He was found at 7pm and was taken by ambulance to St George's Hospital in Tooting, London.
He remains in a critical condition.
Detective Sergeant Dan Gower said: "We are still trying to find out what happened to the man and if anyone saw him prior to being discovered.
“We would like to hear from anyone who saw him in the car park before 6.30pm, and in particular the drivers of two cars, described as a red Fiat and a silver Mazda 3.
“They may have seen the man and we would be grateful if they could contact us. "
