The future of a historic theatre venue is to be decided this afternoon.
The 12 councillors on Brighton and Hove City Council's planning committee will decide on plans to convert the Brighton Hippodrome into an eight screen cinema with four restaurants.
Campaigners want the decision deferred for six months to allow them to draw up a business plan to retain the site as a live performance venue.
The meeting will be held from 2pm at Hove Town Hall.
