A MAN accused of pouring boiling water over a woman has been arrested and charged.
Luis Alfaro-Tames, 47, was arrested over the attack in Ousedale Close, Lewes, on July 2.
He was charged with grievous bodily harm.
Mr Alfaro-Tames, of Downview Road, Worthing, did not enter a plea when he appeared at Crawley Magistrates Court.
He has been remanded in custody ahead of a plea and case management hearing at Lewes Crown Court on August 7.
The alleged 31-year-old victim was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital with second degree scalding and discharged later that day.
