FUNDRAISERS will be putting their pedal to the metal at a cycling endurance challenge.

The 13-hour Ride for Life indoor cycling extravaganza will be held at Withdean Sports Complex on August 9 to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

The annual event, which saw 120 participants raise more than £12,000 last year, has been organised by Freedom Leisure personal trainer Rick Goodchild and will start at 9am.

Twelve top indoor cycling instructors from across Europe will lead a series of 45 to 90-minute rides on the indoor tennis courts at the centre with 12 rides in total.
