Kevin Cooke, 46, of Robert Street, Brighton, pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress. He was fined £110, ordered to pay £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

Steven Leonard Brooker, 37, of New Steine Mews, Brighton, pleaded guilty to consuming or carrying alcohol in an open vessel in a public place, which he was prohibited to do under an antisocial behaviour order. He was fined £73, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Andrew Jonathan Rose, 33, of North Road, Brighton, pleaded guilty to stealing an iPod and USB charger to the value of £300. He was given an eight week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £300 compensation.

Sam Michael Hughes, 34, of Egginton Road, Brighton, pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with internet to cause them to believe that immediate unlawful violence would be used against them. He also pleaded guilty to failing without reasonable excuse to surrender to custody at Brighton Magistrates’ Court, having been released on bail in criminal proceedings. He was given a community order with supervision for 12 months and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and £85 costs.

William Robertson Morrow, 41, of Grand Parade, Brighton, pleaded guilty to stealing men’s toiletries to the value of £67.04 from Co-op. He was fined £37 and ordered to pay £67.04 compensation.

Nicola Jayne Ratcliff, 35, from Downhill View, Brighton, pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause that person to believe that unlawful violence would be used against them. She also pleaded guilty to two charges of assault by beating, committing a further offence whilst subject to a conditional discharge order for a previous offence of assaulting a police officer and failing without reasonable excuse to surrender to custody at Brighton Magistrates’ Court. She was ordered to pay £50 compensation, a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. She was also given a community order to participate in a rehabilitation programme for 10 days and a curfew until September 4.

Roger Frederick Thomas Osgood, 67, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to, without reasonable excuse, entering Pavilion Gardens and New Road in Brighton while in possession of an open can of alcohol that he was prohibited to do so by an antisocial behaviour order. He pleaded guilty to the same charge at New Road, Brighton. He was fined £100, ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Sergio Delio Miner, 40, of Great Chapel Street, London, pleaded guilty to stealing eight cans of Lowenstein beer to the value of £5.58 belonging to Aldi in London Road, Brighton. He was sent to prison for four weeks because of his history of offences and committing an offence while on a community order.
