A DRAMA group wants to bring the spirit of a First World War humorist back to life in centenary celebrations.
Meeching Amateur Dramatics has secured funding from Newhaven Town Council and Lewes District Council to revive West End production The Better ’Ole.
The musical comedy, which was first performed in 1917, was based on the book co-written by Bruce Bairnsfather, who sketched humorous drawings of English soldier Old Bill from the Great War.
The musical will be performed at Newhaven Fort from Thursday to Saturday at 7.45pm.
