Scores of expensive electrical equipment and jewellery were taken in two burglaries believed to be connected to each other.

Both burglaries were on Lower Park Road, Hastings, one between 9.25am and 6.30pm and one between 11am and midday on Saturday August 16.

A Playstation 3, a silver Ipod, a Panasonic Camcorder, a Nikon Coolpix digital camera, a Blackberry Curve mobile phone and several items of jewellery and watches were taken a the first break in.

And two Macbook Pro Laptops (one 15inch and one 13inch), an Ipad mini in black, an orange La Cie external hard drive, a canon video camera, two memory sticks, a gold cross pendant with a heart on it, a small silver box and two pairs of trainers from the other.

Detective constable Cally Fox said: "We believe both these break-ins are linked as they happened during the same time frame, although one wasn't discovered until the next day.

“These items are all expensive and we are asking anyone who are offered these type of items for sale for cheaper prices to contact us.

“The break-ins also happened during the day or evening and we would like to speak to anyone who might have seen anything suspicious in the area.
