TWO men were attacked after challenging thieves who had stolen a wallet.

The two men and a woman left the Volks bar in Madeira Drive, Brighton, at about 7am on Sunday.

The 29-year-old Hove man from the group went up the steps to Marine Parade where a group of men stole his wallet.

The victim followed the men to the Terraces Bar but as he asked for the wallet back, the group tried to steal a ring from his finger.

The victim's friend, a 25-year-old man from Brighton, tried to intervene but was pushed over. He cut his head in the fall and needed stitches.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting serial 368 of 17/8 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk.
