A Mad Hatter’s tea party is being held to help a children’s hospice.
Buxted Park Hotel, near Uckfield, is promising guests a curious and peculiar afternoon with a delicious Alice-inspired tea served on the lawn.
The event is being held to raise money for Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice.
The Alice in Wonderland-inspired experience includes pastries and cakes, scones, Meringue mushrooms with lemon curd and clotted cream, Queen of Hearts Victoria Sponge and Gingerbread men.
General manager Jonathan Owen said: “The Alice in Wonderland afternoon tea experience is the perfect family Sunday afternoon event.
“We promise everyone taking part in the party that they will have a magical time.
“We also hope that the movie will cap off the most wonderful wonderland day.”
Tickets for the event on August 31 are £20 for adults and £10 for children, with £5 per person donated to Chestnut Tree House.
