A dog owner was bitten on the stomach as he tried to rescue his pet from out-of-control dogs.
The man suffered two deep bites to his stomach during an attack from two “wire haired terriers or bichon frise type” dogs as he was walking near Willingdon golf course in Southdown Road, Eastbourne.
The victim told police that the man walking with the dogs, shouted at that after the incident, calling one of them Miche, apologising to the victim before rapidly walking off into nearby woods.
The dog owner police are now trying to trace is described as white, 6' 2" - 6' 4", of medium build with grey hair and a grey bear and was wearing a grey tracksuit at the time of the incident.
