A specialist manhunt team has tracked down 19 wanted suspects in a fortnight.

Sussex Police's Brighton and Hove Manhunt team has arrested 19 wanted people between November 10 and 24 for a range of offences including assault, theft, fraud and robbery.

A Sussex Police spokesman said the team had managed to put handcuffs on a prolific vehicle crime offender in the city and a woman wanted in relation to two court warrants and a theft who handed herself in after the team after they built up a rapport by chatting to her on the phone.

The team, predominately made up of special constables volunteering their time, has been up and running for just over a year.
