A youth has been arrested on suspicion of common assault, sexual assault, attempted robbery and a public order offence over three attacks on two women and a teenage girl. 

The youth has been interviewed and he was subsequently released on bail until Tuesday (31 March) while enquiries continue.
 
Three of the incidents happened in Ferring on 19 March between 2.20pm and 3.10pm, and involved a 20-year-old woman reporting being followed; a 19-year-old woman being assaulted when leaving public toilets on the village green and a 36-year-old woman being grabbed from behind after sexual remarks were made to her.
 
The following day an attempt was made to snatch a 15-year-old girl's bag as she was walking near Goring-by-Sea railway station.
