MR Stuart Cosgrove, co-founder of the Glasgow-based television
production company Big Star in a Wee Picture, has been appointed as
commissioning editor for independent film and video on Channel 4. The
department he takes over has a reputation for initiating programmes from
outside the mainstream of the televison industry, and it is expected
that Mr Cosgrove will be keen to attract more productions from the
regions.
