CANADIAN marksman Frank Morris makes his Scotland debut in the ice

hockey international against England at Murrayfield on January 29. The

former Ayr and Fife player was last night confirmed as one of six

Murrayfield Racers in the 18-strong side.

Morris's call-up came only four days after he officially received his

British passport.

Born in Cornwall, Ontario, Morris has an English wife, Jan, but he

said: ''We love Scotland, I've played all my ice hockey in Britain for

Scottish clubs, and I'm planning to settle north of the Border once I've

finished playing.''

Brothers Tony and Paul Hand, both clubmates of Morris, are also listed

in the line-up, along with six players from the Edinburgh club's main

Scottish rivals, Fife Flyers. Team:

Goal -- John McCrone (Fife), Moray Hanson (Murrayfield); defence --

Paul Hand, Paul Pentland (both Murrayfield), Andre Malo (Nottingham),

Derek King, Gordon Latto, Ally Reid (all Fife); forwards -- Kevin King

(Bracknell), Scott Neil, captain, Les Millie, Tommy Plommer (all

Sheffield), Tony Hand, Frank Morris, Dean Edmiston (all Murrayfield),
