THE chairman of Kilmarnock Football Club, Mr Bobby Fleeting, was sued

for #30,000 yesterday by a public house chain.

The group claims it had to pay out the money on roof repairs after

buying Shenanigans Bar in Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow, from his firm.

Mr Fleeting is defending the action at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court.

The action was taken by Eagle Taverns, of Paisley, against the

Fleeting Organisation and its two directors, Mr Fleeting and his brother

Jim.

The Fleeting group went into liquidation two years ago. Mr Jim

Fleeting, who now works as an SFA coach after resigning as Kilmarnock

manager, was sequestrated last year with debts of around #1m.

Mr Kirk Tudhope, solicitor for Mr Bobby Fleeting, said an adjournment

was needed.

The case was continued until January 19.
