GLASGOW'S New Moves dance festival has been offered a #30,000
guarantee against losses by the Scottish Arts Council. The festival,
which runs from January 29 to March 20, will include new work by
Portuguese and Canadian choreographers. A new Edinburgh-based dance
group, INCOGNITA, has received a grant of #2000 from the SAC. The group
will be presenting their work in the Assembly Rooms in March. A further
#6000 has been given to the Highland Regional Council and the Lochalsh
Arts Council to help develop initiatives in the Scottish traditions of
dance.
