More than £180,000 worth of drugs have been seized in two separate operations by police across Scotland.

Officers from Police Scotland's new Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism Unit searched two properties in Dundee yesterday, in the Douglas and Charleston areas, and recovered heroin and cannabis with a street value of £100,000.

Three men, aged 17, 35 and 36, and a 26-year-old woman were arrested and charged.

They have all been detained and are due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court tomorrow.

Detective Chief Inspector Colin Gall said: "This is the result of Police Scotland's continued focus on disrupting the supply of drugs. We will continue to target those individuals and no-one should doubt our determination to disrupt their illicit trade."

Meanwhile, police seized cocaine, ecstasy, cannabis and amphetamines worth about £83,000 in Paisley, Renfrewshire.

Officers raided the property at about 9.15am yesterday and two men, aged 49 and 69, were arrested and taken into custody.

A report will be sent to the procurator-fiscal and they are expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court today.
