A WOMAN has been found seriously injured in a street.
Two members of the public found the victim at the bottom of some steps in Chapel Road, close to Worthing Town Hall, just after 1am on Monday (February 20).
Paramedics treated a 35-year-old woman with a fractured skull and a bleed on the brain before taking her to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.
Officers from Sussex Police are trying to establish the circumstances of how a woman came to be there.
Anyone who saw the woman, who was wearing a white coat, in the area in the time leading up to the time she was found is asked to contact Sussex Police via email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101, quoting Operation Hemingway.
