THE Youth in Action Awards are back for a fourth year.

Nominations are now open for this year’s honours which celebrate the successes of young people and their leaders in schools and youth groups.

The awards ceremony will take place at The American Express Community Stadium in Falmer on Sunday, July 2.

Richard Harmer, advertising director at The Argus, said: “The Argus Youth in Actions Awards is an incredible project to be involved with.

"Youth success and achievement is something which should be heralded and championed at every opportunity, so it’s great to have a dedicated platform to recognise this.

“There is so much good work going on in the wider Sussex community. It’s easy for it to pass us by, so we rely on our readers to nominate youngsters and their leaders for one of the 15 award categories available. If you know someone who deserves a nomination, please put their name forward.”

This year the event is sponsored by the i360 and its charity partner Trust for Developing Communities.

The awards will follow the roaring success of last year’s event when hundreds of children, teachers and youth group leaders gathered to celebrate young people’s achievements.
