AN artist has taken to canvas to celebrate Brighton and Hove Albion’s promotion to the Premier League.
Terry Horton, who is based in Brighton, has named the oil painting Great Brighton.
It features a seagull carrying the Premier League badge in its webbed feet.
Albion secured promotion on Easter Monday with their win against Wigan. They can win the Championship on Sunday, the final match of the season, away at Aston Villa.
Mr Horton specialises in Brighton-specific pieces, many of which have featured in The Argus.
Last month we featured his latest work, named The Brighton Bluebird.
It features the famous Jack Vettriano’s Bluebird at Bonneville with Brighton’s Madeira Arches in the background.
Reproductions of his work are available from hortonart.wordpress.com.
