BREAKWATER Academy in Newhaven is keen to reward pupils who had achieved 100 per cent attendance in their school terms.
It approached Paradise Park Garden Centre, part of the family-run Tates of Sussex group of garden centres, who stepped in to help with suitable gifts for the pupils aged between fiveand 11.
Sales director Mark Gilbert said: “Tracey Fontaine from the academy contacted us recently with this idea and we were delighted to help out and encourage good attendance at school.”
Breakwater Academy used to be Meeching Valley School in Newhaven.
It is now part of STEP Academy Trust.
The garden centre is in Avis Road.
