THIS is the moment heartless thieves stole a Poppy Appeal tin from a hotel bar.
Police are appealing for information after the incident at the White Lion Hotel, Claremont Road, Seaford, on November 14.
The pair can be seen on CCTV walking into the hotel before heading to the bar area. One asks to use the toilet while the other sits down at the bar.
The staff member on duty briefly turns her back and walks into the kitchen. The woman at the bar takes her chance and grabs the tin and places it in her handbag. The pair then make their escape.
Police Constable Russ Watson said: “Any theft is unacceptable but stealing money from a charity is particularly abhorrent. If you have any information on who these women might be please get in contact with us.”
