Crawley skipper Dannie Bulman suffered a suspected fractured cheekbone in today’s 2-0 defeat at home to MK Dons.

Bulman was forced off clutching his face just before half-time and is almost certainly out of Sunday’s League One clash with Notts County at the Checkatrade.com Stadium.

However, manager John Gregory expects Nicky Adams – who went off with a back spasm after just 14 minutes – to be fit for that game.

Regular captain Josh Simpson could also be in contention following a hamstring injury and Kyle McFadzean will be available after a one-match ban.

Gregory felt today’s defeat was harsh on Crawley. He said: “I thought it was hard on us. They had one shot in the first half and two in the second half but they were both clinical.

“We have to deal with it. I was disappointed at the end – 2-0 flattered them.”

Billy Clarke is facing a three-match ban after being sent off in the closing stages and Gregory had no complaints with the dismissal.

He added: “It looked a red card to me. His feet left the ground and it looked a two-footed challenge to me.”
